The Living City - Home page

What makes a town interesting, memorable -- somewhere you would visit again?  Perhaps a city where you would want to live and work, raise a family even?

What are the successful elements of such a town, an environment?  (see intro to the New Cultural Urbanism here) Are the current solutions to town planning sound, do they meet the expectations of the people?

Is New Urbanism, as currently practiced, economically, socially and intellectually satisfying?  What are the best models of the past and how can they be integrated into an ideal living environment?

Euro Design VP, LLC is interested in distilling the best of the old and new and creating a vibrant series of towns and cities based on the New Cultural Urbanism  -- LIVING CITIES  Video presentation here.

A town should have a vibrant street life day and night! (Krakow, above, Milano, left) Commemorative monuments add points of interest.  Art galleries and museums underpin the cultural base of any city.
